2021 repress - to feel the future is to feel the fall into time. for the fourth instalment in tresor s kern mix series, dj stingray (urban tribe/drexciya) presents a device for decoding time in all directions, a sonic prism that refracts our senses into auxiliary components of a total future-rush. with a far-reaching selection that has been worked into his own unique form, dj stingray wraps our vertigo around a gritty pneumatic bump with high-velocity swing. his mixing style, prepared for hostile engagements as it is, throttles techno into counter-gravity forces. wading through a specialised cross-section of detroit s own dance-floor contagions as well as the contaminated feedback signals from across the global aqua plains, the mix can be summed up in just one word: hectic. raw, caustic, synthetic rhythm-code pumps frenzy itself through a cascading geothermal fog. never giving away the cryptographic keys, dj stingray works you harder than your heart, adapting your biology to a fractal timeline of viscous systems. discovery, or uncovering, has to do with what already exists actually or virtually, it is therefore certain to happen sooner or later with enough sweat in the club. and as kern volume 4 attests to, dj stingray has the access codes and the stealth sense to make a place of a space, and to let it fall into time. accompanying the mix is a double vinyl. the leading manoeuvre comes from the collaborative efforts of dj stingray and heinrich mueller under an exclusive nrsb-11 piece. seven more key titles of the covert assault make up this vinyl edition

the palm trees whistle in the pink meteor shower. an entanglement of nature’s mystical tones settle. sonics trigger movement in the oceans crust while giants filter the earth’s waters, thrusting the waters with their gnarly space knobs. the damsel in distress is a hadronic mechanical design like no other, moulded, tested and shaped by the entheogen melanges of the omegian race. many a cosmic knight whipped there sword out to retrieve , but in rightful and aware conquest the dilation and deja vu of multidimensional experiences returned the opal tone to the omega men. the midi rain will dance , and the grooving aqua orbs of life will continue on. - eddie

the drip ep brings together four distinctive producers and one set of sounds - the drips. the result is a compilation of 4 tracks that bring the swing and sampling of some of accidental jnr’s finest to produce a soaking wet dancefloor. first up is label boss matthew herbert with a trademark groove that harks back to his wishmountain moniker albeit found lurking in the swamp. cosmo sheldrake takes a slight departure from his usual multi-instrumentaling live-looping avant-folk to deliver a track that could only be described as travelling circus aqua-techno. bahraini born, french / us bred and now edinburgh dwelling video game builder, sound designer and sometime scottish league football referee yann seznec opens the b-side with an absolute stormer of a rain drenched club hook. sussex based producer crewdson and builder of such electronic instruments as the eggiophone and concertronica closes proceedings with a drizzling evolving 2-step number.

rhyw is alex tsiridis aka one half of cassegrain. on this, his solo debut for arcing seas, his smoul-dering alien techno sound manifesto continues to thrive over three unique tracks. the morphing, deconstructed acid of unpunishable - a molten statement of lusty intent - strikes first in a heady, hazy pummelling of doom-funk. ‘vertisol pushes crisp and dry snaking percussion through an anechoic chamber, the bass end neatly warming at first then burning hard through your mid section. an icy cold shot of ‘aqua velva is the final offering - a pushing sub-level trip through rhyws private domain - where tingling rushes of bass and static charges wash over us leaving a sinful residue. arcing seas is an anagram of cassegrain. it started out as a secret alias, releasing a couple eps on our circula sound. the secret was less well kept after the duo appeared at berghain under this name. a year later, after deciding to start a label, it finally made sense to bring the two together

for the fifth instance in their reissue series, echovolt records brings us four lush house gems by one of the most influential italian producers. carlo troja aka don carlos. don carlos started as a dj in the late 70s and debuted as a producer towards the end of the 80s with the cult single alone , which pretty soon became one of the anthems of the international deep house scene. inspiration ep focuses on some of his finest productions from the mid 90s that were only available on his rare aqua vinyl promo ep. this releases makes an effort to capture don carlos unique approach on classic house with lot of afro-american jazz sounds and ambient influences, that created a timeless deep jazzy house with a strong mediterranean twist on it!

nice price deal !!! all releases come out as limited 12 inch pressings (500). supported by: davide squillace, jeff samuel, mr. statik, tim green, gary beck, chris fortier, aqua bassino, paul hazendonk,and more. great new release by barcelona label vinyl did it, this time, a collaboration between label owners dia, and fluen. they combine fluen s housier sound and dia s darker >afterhours< techno feeling to create three tracks that really stand out.

a1 --aqua lifeforms- is perhaps the least intense cut on the record, a sort of a slow grower which builds up momentum by layering sounds and pads. a2 -body mover- is exactly what the title tells you. crunchy peak time tune for the dance floor, with shuffling broken beats wrapping around deep chords that hint what s happening on the flip side. b1 -doorway to her- is a nod to the classic deep techno chord-ish approach. well, sort of. the song lets you think that until the first curveball just before the half of the track. after that, it s just deeper than deep. b2 -pulsing hearts- is another well-crafted dance floor cut. the track moves from deep meditative vibe to subtle acid tripping, just to be finished with a proper bass workout. overall, we couldn t think of a better way to mark the 10th barba release.

this is the first release of steady work by dear friends. based in heidelberg (germany) they catered the city and its music lovers with good music for the last ten years. dog patrol is a young mannheim (germany) based producer and a long term and very good friend to the steady work by dear friends crew. dog patrol delivered for this release warm and shaking house. he twisted but not dubbed over his raw and lo-fi sounding style to three crawling but thriving tunes, which easily fit and hit every dancefloor.

limited information on this release, it contains two super edits that have been heavily road tested on a certain soundsytem that is currently doing the rounds. not much information beyond that but the music speaks for itself. slow mo with energy. more soon

lighthearted and aqua-marine house grooves from canadian producer jayda g with a fun 12 inch comprised of two originals and two reworkings of the track + girl music + from montreal duo cafe lanai. created during the spring/summertime of 2016, sixth spirit is infused with a sense of warmth and carefreeness based on current experiences, looped back into nostalgias of her first field season as a young scientist in ontario. the canadian forests breathe through these songs. the movement and groove emulate the sense of curiosity and learning that she experienced during that earlier time. “that field season was an adventure i’ll never forget.”
